Day Thirteen

22 Jun

Today was the last day of tennis class 😦

Two grueling hours of tennis, followed by one hour of tutoring, followed by another hour of working out with my other student. When I got home I did some abs, took a shower, then meet a friend for a late lunch. After that I filled up some gas, went to Target, found a nice pair of workout pants for $8, and got a gallon of milk for my grandpa.

I was checking myself out in the mirror (everyone does, shut up) and instead of utter dispair I was thinking, you know, there is potential here. This is not an utter wasteland. I see the light! There is hope! All that good stuff.

Last night instead of entering a zen-like state in which to write my paper, I sat down with a rather turbulent mindset and haphazardly tapped out the worst, most sub-rate paper I have ever written. What a travesty.

Today I ate Cheerios, a banana, some watery soup from the food court (so not worth the $3 I paid for it, but then again, nothing they sell there is worth what you have to pay, they simply can charge whatever they want because they have a monopoly on the local food source) , a kiwi, a mango, and popcorn. Fare of champions. Oh, and green tea. And a Yoohoo.

Today at Target I wanted to buy: cute whale and frog shaped bathmats for $2.50 each, a recycle bag that says, “Down to Earth” for $1.00, a popcorn popper, an ice cream maker, a George Foreman grill, a sandwich maker, a duffle bag, a green quilt, a green desklamp, a jean jacket, a zip hoodie, a pair of jeans, a plant, a vase, anything lime green, a cute little notebook, a brushed metal Thermos, a chic lunch tote, a zebra-striped block of sticky notes, a lime green cube ottoman/storage unit, and a laptop tote.

But I need like, money for those things. *le sigh*

Must rid self of petty, materialistic desires. Less is more. Less is more!

Welcome to Week Three, folks!
